Along with the anniversary LP edition of Words Once Said, a companion release entitled Silences We Shared, a full compilation of remixes of tracks from Words Once Said. Always eager to offer some rare bonus material, the band recently reunited to recorded new remixes of tracks from the original album especially for this occasion.
Some of you may remember that Celluloide released their second album "Words Once Said" in 2004. Yes, that’s right, it’s been twenty years already. Always eager to offer some rare bonus material, the band recently reunited to gather old and new remixes of tracks from the original album especially for this occasion. Silences We Shared is a full compilation of remixes of tracks from Words Once Said. The remixes were made in 2003 range from unreleased to digital-only tracks and exclusive compilation contributions, and of course some brand new remixes were added to top it off. As with the re-release of Naive Heart two years ago, BOREDOMproduct has prepared a brand new remastered version of Words Once Said specially engineered for its first ever vinyl edition which is now available ! Those new 2024 remixes are made of original 2003 recorded tracks and the band even used the very same now outdated but still functioning computer that they used at that time, just for the fun of it and to make them feel as if it was 2003 again. This is retro-engineering taken to the extremes, a radical approach one would say, but also one that has been defining Celluloide’s way of working since the very beginning of their career. Silences We Shared Titled after a piece of lyrics from the song I Missed You, Silences We Shared is expected to be an epic journey for those of us who fancy a trip back to Celluloide’s second album era, same but different somehow, available both on CD and vinyl.
